You can help support chiropractic by being politically active. It is critical that all DC’s become personal friends with their State Representatives and Senators, and let the UCPA know which ones they have a personal relationship with. Here are some great links to help you get started.
For issues close to home our UCPA Legal/Legislative Committee will keep you up to date and provide information on legislation or legal actions that may affect chiropractic in Utah.
Nationally the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and International Chiropractors Association (ICA) both have advocacy sites. While the ACA and ICA often work together on these issues you may prefer one over the other
American Chiropractic Association-ACA – ChiroVoice is a site dedicated to protecting and promoting your access to chiropractic care. You can sign up for alerts for when to take action and they will guide you through the process of making your voice heard. If you want to skip the middle man and go straight to action you can go to the ACA Legislative Action Center.
International Chiropractors Association-ICA – Adjust the Vote is a grassroots political action organization similar in nature to Chirovoice. The ICA also has a Legislative Action site that will give you information on the latest issues and bills currently before congress related to chiropractic and healthcare.
